There is beauty in my yard after last weeks storm! This afternoon, as I walked the outskirts of the yard inspecting the plants (and mourning over my dead leaf lettuce and cucumber plants!) this beautiful red burst of color caught my eye. And when I drew closer to look at it, it had the most amazing fragrance too! It is our first bloom from the rose bush I planted for Ty and it now adorns a vase in the window of my kitchen. It is full and vibrant and beautiful. And to me, it holds a deeper message among its petals....that despite turbulent times, there is purpose and beauty and grace to behold....God's divine providence illustrated in my garden today.
